Mary Jane Harris enjoyed a successful career of 29 years in the consumer products industry, including operations, marketing, senior management and human relations. After deciding to leave the corporate world, Mary Jane dedicated herself to being a knowledge leader in Scottsdale real estate, and a realtor that works personally to ensure that her clients’ every need is met. Her corporate experience and real estate expertise combine to create superior communications and negotiation skills.

Mary Jane’s corporate human resources background and personal experience with relocating her own family provide her with a broad understanding of the many factors involved in relocation. She understands the corporate side as well as knowing what it’s like to move a family, pets and belongings to start a new life in a new city.

Since 1996, I have had the pleasure of living in Rio Verde and specialized in “The Verdes” (Rio, Tonto, and Vista), which are Arizona Adult Golfing Communities tucked into the northeast corner of the Valley of the Sun.

Since joining Russ Lyon Realty Company, I have had the honor of being selected for the Russ Lyon Million Dollar Club and the Russ Lyon President’s Club.

I formerly held a real estate license in the state of New York and received my license in Arizona in 2000.

I derive a great sense of accomplishment in being able to listen to my clients’ needs and finding the perfect home for them.

My family and friends are my heart’s delight. I enjoy cooking for them and creating wonderful adventures for us all to enjoy together. I am a water-color and mixed medium artist and a member of the Verdes Art League.

I have lived and worked in Rio Verde, one of the Verdes Communities, (Rio Verde, Tonto Verde, and the newest member, Vista Verde) since 1996. I am knowledgeable about and experienced in the real estate market in these adult (55 years of age or over) golf communities.

I provide a professional approach to the practice of real estate using technology that works to give my clients an efficient and positive real estate purchase or sale experience. I listen carefully to understand what my clients want and work diligently to exceed their expectations. I see my job as working for my clients and not as trying to sell them something.

I am technologically proficient, readily available since I live in the area, and committed to the golf-club lifestyle here.

Born on an Iowa farm, I have lived in California, New York, Montana, and Arizona. I attended Iowa State University and a management program at the Harvard Business School. I have worked for a large financial institution, a university system, and owned several small businesses and a dude ranch. I have always enjoyed developing new skills. I’ve been a licensed pilot, a licensed outfitter, and now hold a real estate license. I am equally at home in the city or the country – on the golf course or fishing in a mountain stream.

These broad experiences have given me an understanding of how important it is to treat people with respect and to be a good listener. I believe that professionalism and integrity are the keys to success.
